CIE: Building Pet-Inclusive Communities Webinar
Event Details
Presented by: Judy Bellack,Ross Barker,Sara Muriello, Michelson Found Animals Foundation
The multifamily housing industry would characterize most properties as pet-friendly; however, fewer than 8% of rental housing units across the country are free from significant breed and size restrictions. This creates a barrier to entry for many qualified renters with companion animals, and is a catalyst for increased ESA accommodation requests. This session will focus on why savvy rental housing providers are becoming more pet inclusive by minimizing or removing restrictions, and how this is not only good for pet owners, but great for business. Attendees will gain access to actionable data and resources to both assess their true pet-inclusivity, and overcome any potential objections to welcoming more pets.
In this webinar you will,
-
Learn how to articulate the difference between pet-friendly and pet-inclusive and the gap this distinction creates in the rental housing market.
-
Learn how to assess your property’s level of pet-inclusiveness.
-
Gain insight into common misconceptions that inform pet policies and result in more ESA accommodation requests
-
Gain awareness of Pet-Inclusive Housing Initiative (PIHI) resources for overcoming concerns and creating awareness
