NEW! AAA Community Outreach Initiative: Support Austin Pets Alive! with Urgently Needed Donations
The Austin Apartment Association (AAA) is excited to announce our latest community outreach initiative for July and August: a drive to support Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) with donations of urgently needed items. APA! is not your average animal shelter. They pioneer innovative lifesaving programs designed to save the animals most at risk of euthanasia, making a tremendous difference in our community.
Why Austin Pets Alive?
Austin Pets Alive! fills critical gaps in Austin’s shelter live-outcome rate by identifying the key groups of animals that are typically euthanized in a shelter setting and maintaining comprehensive, innovative programs to help these groups survive. Using best practices from around the country, APA! developed programs to care specifically for these groups, thereby reducing their staggering over-representation on euthanasia lists and directly increasing the city’s save rate.
Austin Pets Alive! has become a beacon of hope in our city. Their dedication to saving lives through unique programs and their commitment to giving every animal a chance at a happy life is truly inspiring. By supporting APA!, we can help them continue their vital work and ensure that more animals find their forever homes. How You Can Help
We are calling on all AAA members to join us in this effort by donating items that are urgently needed by Austin Pets Alive!. You can make a difference in the lives of these animals by purchasing items from APA!'s Amazon wishlist. The process is simple and convenient:

- Purchase Items: Select the items you wish to donate and complete your purchase.
- Send Items to AAA: Ensure that the items are sent directly to the Austin Apartment Association.
Your generosity can provide the supplies that are essential to the daily operations of Austin Pets Alive! and the care of the animals they rescue. Whether it's food, bedding, toys, or medical supplies, every item makes a significant impact.
Once the donations are collected, our Community Service Committee will coordinate the delivery of these items to Austin Pets Alive! in late August.
